Questions and answers
How high is Hotel Everest View?
It sits at about 3,880 m above Namche Bazaar. Mild altitude symptoms such as a headache or poor sleep are possible, so drink water and take it easy on arrival.
Is trekking required?
No. The helicopter lands at Syangboche, a short walk from the hotel.
What if the helicopter cannot fly on day 2?
Weather delays can extend your stay. Keep a spare day in your Kathmandu schedule. Extra hotel nights are not included.
Is this tour available privately?
Yes. A private charter lets you choose departure time and share the cost between up to five guests.
Day trips reach the Khumbu for a breakfast and leave. This tour stays. You fly from Kathmandu to Syangboche, check in at Hotel Everest View, and spend the afternoon and the following dawn with Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam on your doorstep.
It replaces a 12 to 14 day trek with a 2-day stay at moderate altitude, which makes it popular for honeymoons, anniversaries and travellers with limited time. Because you sleep at 3,880 m, an easy acclimatisation walk to Khumjung is possible on request.
